Youngabout International Film Festival, giunto alla quarta edizione, è un luogo fertile per contaminazioni, nuove idee, sperimentazioni.
Youngabout International Film Festival, now in its fourth edition, is a welcoming place for new ideas and experimentation.

Il festival è indipendente ed è organizzato dall’Associazione “Gli anni in tasca, il cinema e i ragazzi” e dal Coordinamento adolescenti del Quartiere San Vitale di Bologna, è membro dell’ European Children's Film Association (ECFA).

The festival is independent and organized by the Association “Gli anni in tasca, youth and cinema” and the Adolescents Coordination of San Vitale Neighborhood in Bologna, and is a member of the European Children’s Film Association (ECFA).

Selezione di Cortometraggi documentari, di fiction e d’animazione per un pubblico dai 13 ai 25 anni - (ultima data per la consegna 20 gennaio 2011)
Short Film Competition for young people, 13-25 years old All shrts must be submitted by the deadline of January 20, 2011.

Regolamento e condizioni – Rules and regulations

Possono partecipare al concorso film di ogni genere (fiction, animazione, documentario) prodotti con ogni supporto, realizzati a partire dal 2009. - All types of movies may participate in the competition (fiction, animation, documentary) and products with every type of media support, created since 2009.

Selezione Per la selezione è richiesto l’invio di due DVD –Il costo della spedizione del materiale necessario per la selezione è a carico dei partecipanti. / For the selection two DVDs are required. Shipping costs of the necessary material for pre-selection must be paid by the participants.

● Durata La durata dei film non deve essere superiore a 10’ - Running time in Minutes - The short films should be no more than 10’ minutes.

● Formato Per la proiezione è richiesta la copia in 35 mm. o in DVD- The films will be screened in 35 mm or DVD
● La lista dialoghi - Dialogue list
● Un trailer (nel formato DVD) – A trailer (DVD)
● Materiale pubblicitario (cartoline, press book, poster) - Publicity materials ( press book, poster)
● Immagini ad alta qualità del film -High quality stills of the film
● La biografia, filmografia e un’immagine del regista- A biography, filmography and photo of the director
●Tutti i film devono essere sottotitolati in inglese - All films must be subtitled in English.
Youngabout Film Fest può utilizzare il trailer del film e l’altro materiale pubblicitario per la promozione del festival – Youngabout Film Fest is free to use the publicity materials and the trailer for promotional reasons.
Trasporto pellicole: Youngabout Film Fest paga il costo della restituzione della pellicola- Youngabout Film Fist pays for the cost of returning the films.
Giuria: Una giuria internazionale di ragazze e ragazzi assegnerà un premio ai cortometraggi vincitori nelle diverse categorie. Jury: An international jury of boys and girls will award a prize to the winning short film in each category.
Una giuria composta da docenti e da esperti del settore cinematografico e televisivo assegnerà una Targa ai cortometraggi prescelti ((Riconoscimento all’opera, di ogni sezione del concorso, che meglio evidenzia la creatività e la capacità innovativa dell’autore).
A jury made up of teachers and experts in the cinema and television fields will award a Plaque to selected short films (Recognition of the film in each section of the competition that best demonstrates the creativity and innovative capacity of the author).

IL CONCORSO DEI CORTOMETRAGGI SI DIVIDE IN TRE SEZIONI:

- SCOLASTICA rivolta a cortometraggi realizzati nelle scuole: secondarie di I grado; secondarie di II grado*

- AMATORIALE rivolta a cortometraggi realizzati da giovani filmmakers che abbiano compiuto 13 anni e non superato 28

- PROFESSIONALE rivolta a cortometraggi realizzati da professionisti

*Si chiede alle scuole di essere presenti, con spese a loro carico, alle giornate di proiezione e di premiazione con il gruppo classe che ha partecipato alla realizzazione dei cortometraggi selezionati, rappresentando il festival un’occasione unica per favorire la relazione e lo scambio tra i giovani. Il festival può essere meta di una bella gita scolastica per cinefili e appassionati.
Se desiderate organizzare gite scolastiche che prevedano una tappa da noi, oltre alla visione dei film in programma, possiamo proporre un laboratorio per i vostri studenti. Segnalatevi però prima che potete.

THE COMPETITION IS DIVIDED INTO THREE SECTIONS:

- SCHOLASTIC: for short films created in a school setting: eighth grade (last year of middle school/junior high), and high school

- AMATEUR: for short films created by young filmmakers between the ages of 13 and 28

- PROFESSIONAL: for short films created by professionals

*Schools are kindly requested to be present, at their expense, on the day of film screenings and awards with the class that participated in the creation of the short films selected, in order to create an opportunity during the festival for teachers and young adults to relate to one another and exchange ideas. The festival can also be an opportunity for a field trip for cinema lovers.
If you want to organize field trips with your class which include our program, besides the viewing of films on schedule, we can offer a laboratory for your students. Please let us know as soon as you can.

TEMA – THEMES

L’edizione 2011 propone i seguenti temi per le tre sezioni/The 2011 edition will have the following themes for the three sections:

1) Parole e pensieri tracciati sui muri – Traces of thoughts and words on the walls

2) Scampoli di felicità – Remnants of Happiness

3) Storie di famiglia – Family Stories

4) Amici per sempre – Friends forever

5) Per chi desideri cimentarsi con la realizzazione di uno spot “educativo” il tema è:
“Attenzione, prudenza, velocità: sulla strada non si è mai soli…”

For those of you who would like to create an educational advertisement the theme is: “Attention, prudence, speed: on the road you are never alone…”

Viene concessa la possibilità di inviare opere a tema libero, ma in fase di selezione, a parità di merito, verranno privilegiate quelle ispirate ai temi su indicati.
It is also possible to submit works not related to one of these themes, but during the selection phase, after merit, those that are inspired by the themes listed above will have an advantage.
